There are many Schnucks grocery store locations in the St. Louis area. Some of them are great and some of them are, well, not so great.
We ranked a selection of Schnucks stores across the area from best to worst, taking into consideration things like produce selection, length of lines and vibes. (Seriously, why are the vibes at the Loughborough location so off?)

THE BEST SCHNUCKS IN ST. LOUIS Schnucks Lindbergh 10275 Clayton Road Ladue, MO 63124 Of course the very best Schnucks is in Ladue. You'll notice that throughout this collection it seems like the better grocery stores are in neighborhoods with more money. (Shocking, right?) But it’s undeniable that the Schnucks on Clayton Road right by Plaza Frontenac is the best one in the St. Louis area. The parking lot isn’t always easy to pull out of, but everything else about it is perfect. It’s small and has low ceilings and feels more like a Straub’s than a Schnucks. Walking into it feels like a warm embrace. Everything is exactly where it should be and the small aisles feel cozy and nice. The Schnucks in Ladue just feels like home. Of course the very best Schnucks is in Ladue. You’ll notice that throughout this collection it seems like the better grocery stores are in neighborhoods with more money. (Shocking, right?) But it’s undeniable that the Schnucks on Clayton Road right by Plaza Frontenac is the best one in the St. Louis area. The parking lot isn’t always easy to pull out of, but everything else about it is perfect. It’s small and has low ceilings and feels more like a Straub’s than a Schnucks. Everyone’s favorite Schnucks in the city is the Schnucks on Arsenal. Located near The Hill, this Schnucks sells many locally-produced items from the neighborhood and has a wider selection of cheeses and Italian items than other local Schnucks locations. There’s a CVS inside this spot, too, and the people who work there are very friendly and helpful. The place is always clean and well-stocked and the produce is fresh. Pre-pandemic you could could find a live music here on the weekends and lots of samples to try. But there are still wonders to find here now: If you’re in the parking lot at just the right time, you can catch a beautiful sunset view.

The new store style debuted just a couple of months ago and it looks way cooler (even on the outside) than this picture from a couple of years ago shows. The redesigned store includes a massive food call, a retail area and is just a cool place to hang out. The store sells local products, so it’s a great place to pick up a gift. And the food hall offers ready-made food from local restaurants, which is great news for people who always get hungry while they’re shopping. If you just want to pop into a Schnucks and grab something quickly, though, this might not be the store for you. The Kirkwood Schnucks is a place to visit when you don’t just want groceries, but an experience.

It’s an older-style store, but sometimes there’s just no need to try to improve on a design. This little Schnucks location is just perfect. It’s an older-style store, but sometimes there’s just no need to try to improve on a design. It gets an A+ in our book.

THE BEST SCHNUCKS 24 HOURS A DAY Schnucks Hampton Village 60 Hampton Village Plaza St. Louis, MO 63109 This Schnucks location at the corner of Hampton Avenue and Chippewa Street is one of the most high-traffic grocery stores in the area. It’s located right across the street from the only Target in the city, making it an easy stop for busy moms trying to get it all done and get it all done quickly. It’s also open 24 hours a day so it’s a great place to hit up if you need cough syrup in the middle of the night. This Schnucks is split up in a unique way, too, with all of the fresh food in one half of the store and all of the packaged items in the other half. But the biggest perk of this Schnucks location is new: There’s now a Ross Dress For Less practically next door to it so make sure to bring your shopping bags and your credit card. THE BEST SCHNUCKS FOR WEIRDOS Schnucks Webster Groves 8650 Big Bend Boulevard St. Louis, MO 63119 This Schnucks is pretty small, but not so small that it&#146;s an issue. It&#146;s just cozy in a really nice way. Serving Webster weirdos for decades, this Schnucks has everything that you want and a whole lot of things you didn&#146;t know that you wanted, either.
