Police were called to the 4100 block of Grove Street in the Fairgrounds neighborhood just after 9 p.m. Sunday for a reported shooting. They found Montez Woods, a 29-year-old black man lying dead in the street from multiple gunshot wounds. Witnesses reported seeing Woods walking south on Grove before he was murdered. The police have no suspects at this point in the ongoing investigation.
