The gorgeous Central West End home known as the Nabisco Mansion is back on the market — and this time, they’re asking just $1.99 million.

That’s a 7 percent cut from the last time it was on the market, in September 2022. At that point, owners Ron and Joy Christensen were asking $2.15 million, but they ended up pulling it off the market without finding a buyer, records show.

The Christensens made their names as a comedy duo in Los Angeles before moving back to St. Louis, where Joy had previously been known as the host of “Joy in the Morning” on KSHE. She opened the Fountain on Locust, which she owned for 13 years before selling in 2021 to focus on other projects.

Their house has a long pedigree. It was built in 1906 for Lewis Dozier, a St. Charles County native who was a president of the National Biscuit Company, the precursor to Nabisco. The 12,947-square-foot beauty boasts 24 rooms including eight bedrooms and 7.5 baths. There’s also a gorgeous in-ground swimming pool and a four-car garage. And just check out that basement — which comes complete with a medieval-style ballroom.

The Christensens did much of the work of restoring the mansion since making its purchase in 1996, according to a history published a few years ago. Scroll down for some of the highlights of their work — a classic example of a St. Louis Gilded Age mansion.

And if you want to inquire about making a purchase, the home is repped by Erica Willert of Dielman Sotheby’s.
