Check out this reconstruction of a pioneer town in Warsaw, Missouri.
Set on 20 acres of land, all of the 20 or so structures on the property were created by one family in the 1970s. The place was never a major tourist attraction, though it did get a lot of attention from locals.
It was open to the public from the 1970s until 1997. When it first opened, donations were accepted, but even decades later ticket prices topped out at just $3.
The town includes a schoolhouse, a jail, a general store and more. Some of the buildings on the property were brought in from other areas, but most of them were built by hand using reclaimed wood.
Perfect for a movie set or an events venue, the land would also be a great place to live out your Oregon Trail or Little House on the Prairie fantasies.
